The caps button/putting the indicator near a word

I obtained this app because of an article, and my love for typewriters (Polaroids and fountain pens, that variety of stuff.) But I am not a usual writer on my typewriters, so writing quickly using a phone is more of what I use nowadays because I am a young age. The Caps Lock button is too slow. It only hits it would be cool if there was a type of autocorrect after I have nearly made half a word and honestly. I’m sure it could take away from using a retro type app, it might definitely become more easy to use in too haha) since it’s generally the sounds that drew people in ( me. Also, it might be cool if it was at a birds eye view. Manage to look at whole page because you can see the typewriter that is whole. If folks have trouble seeing the words you can add a size that is font or -. But birds eye view will be great! Also, (i am aware, there is a lot of things) whenever I you will need to bring my indicator up to erase or add a word, the page bounces around in the screen and I also can’t get it into the place that is right. Anyways, there’s my input on that, but overall I absolutely love this idea!! Sharon

Thank you Sir

I’m able to still see the light coming through the tall windows for the classroom that is typing. I can still smell the faint mustiness of that old room and l most certainly can still hear Mrs. Smiley (yes, that was really her name—and she’s not an emoji) asking us to take out our typing books and start typing. There have been only a couple of IBM Selectrics because they were expensive and in very short supply. So only those who were near the top of the class surely got to select the Selectric, if they so desired. Even though I had the opportunity a few times for the selection of the Selectric, I MUCH preferred the “shook shook” plus the “clock clock” associated with the old Coronas and Royals that filled rest of the tables. When my husband and I saw the journalism piece on Sunday Morning, we had been just extremely fascinated by your beautiful collection, and possibly even only a little inspired to start one of our personal. For now, we shall relish within the utilization of the Hanx Writer. Thank you for bringing back a glimmer that is sweet of past. Those surely were the nice days of the past and you sir, gave us a bit of that back in the Hanx Writer. Blogging, journaling and finally making your way around to writing a book will undoubtedly be much more enjoyable now. Many thanks sir. This might be brilliant and we also are both absolutely loving the app. With warmest regards,The BartlettsMobile, Alabama

Novelty, not novels

This app is fun for about ten minutes until such time you realize you cannot do anything along with it but create a draft that may have to be totally rewritten elsewhere (as though it were an actual typewriter, i assume). You can only copy one page at any given time, in addition to typing that is actualn’t modernized enough (like knowing to change back into letters after you finish typing a number). The yellow, teal and red typewriters look very fake compared to the black and white. Waste of money upgrading to all or any of the typewriter styles and having the party that is third, which crashes writers here will write my essay for money every one of my apps.

Update: app does work with a Bluetooth keyboard, which it would not previously. It may be because I’m now using a newer iPad, but I’m not sure. Compliment of Apple (observe that this app hasn’t been updated in a couple of years), you can now create a PDF beneath the “share” button (the box with the arrow up). Text, however, would still have to be copied one page at a time.

As an iPad app, I can see it having value to make individual pages or notes or something else that is just needed once or perhaps you don’t need to copy, except perhaps an inventory in which the hard return generated by the carriage return is not an issue. Nevertheless the value is in the pleasure of nostalgia, the satisfaction associated with the sounds, memories that arise through the visceral experience.
